The Weight of Care & the Gift of Sleep with Andrea Suchin, Caregiver Advocate & Co-Founder of Wuggle
Sleepless nights. Overwhelming stress. A caregiver’s reality. How do we hold the weight of caregiving, parenting, and survival, while still trying to find moments of rest, hope, and meaning? These are the questions that so many caregivers live with every day and the questions that sit at the heart of today’s conversation.
My guest today is Andrea Suchin, a caregiver advocate, entrepreneur, and the co-founder of Wuggle™
Andrea’s journey began when her husband, a Harvard-trained physician, was diagnosed at just 54 with Behavioral Frontotemporal Dementia. Overnight, she became his full-time caregiver while raising their four children. That life-altering shift gave her an intimate understanding of what stress, anxiety, and sleep loss can do to both caregivers and families.
Born out of her own exhaustion and need for comfort, Andrea and her sister created Wuggle™ as a tool for calm and rest, something she longed for in her hardest nights. Today, their work extends to collaboration with the USC Falzarano Family Caregiver Lab, exploring how better sleep can transform the caregiving journey.
Thank you, Andrea, for shedding light on what it means to care, to cope, and to create something healing from hardship.

About Andrea Suchin
Andrea Suchin is a caregiver advocate, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Wuggle™, a patented deep touch pressure sleep cap and eye mask designed to calm the nervous system and provide restorative sleep, while helping with migraines and anxiety.
Andrea’s journey into the world of caregiving began when her husband, a Harvard-trained physician, was diagnosed at age 54 with Behavioral Frontotemporal Lobe Dementia, a debilitating and terminal illness. Overnight, Andrea became his full-time caregiver while raising their four children. This life-altering experience gave her a firsthand understanding of the profound impact that overwhelming stress, anxiety, and sleep loss has on caregivers and their families.
Drawing from that experience, Andrea and her sister, Hillary Gerber, created the Wuggle™ to offer comfort and calm for herself and anyone navigating similar paths. Today, Andrea and Hillary are continuing in their mission to support the Caregiver community by collaborating with the USC Falzarano Family Caregiver Lab on a groundbreaking sleep study focused on improving sleep for caregivers.
Andrea brings a heartfelt perspective to the caregiving conversation, along with personal and professional commitment to support those who give so much of themselves to others.
